Ledger has always fancied himself an inventor and fix-it guy. He loves to build stuff and take things apart to try and figure out how something works. As we were cleaning up the basement I came across an old printer that we were planning to throw out. Ledger noticed it and asked if he could tinker with it and take it apart. Sure! I brought it up to the table and gave him a few tools to use. He spent the afternoon taking it apart, studying the different parts, circuit boards, and wires. He didn't know what any of it did (and neither did I), but he was intensely interested in it and just thought it looked so cool! Some of the parts he decided he wanted to keep just because they looked neat. Eventually he moved on to other things, but for that afternoon he was intensely interested in playing the role of Mr. Fix It!
