The reality of going back to school this year is starting to set in for Ledger. We went to the school open house so he could visit his classroom and meet his teacher. It's been a while since he was at his school- more than 16 months! He was a little nervous, but excited that this year he gets to be in the big kid part of the school! His teacher was very nice and helped calm his nerves about coming back. He wandered around the desks and got excited when he saw the names of the other kids in his class, friends he hadn't seen since 2nd grade! I wouldn't go so far as to say that he's now looking forward to school starting, but he's definitely less concerned than he was before.
