First Day of 4th Grade

It's finally here: Ledger's first day of school! Not the 'at home' school, but real live school school! As we were getting him ready I asked him how he was feeling and he used the word he made up a few years ago: extervous. It's the perfect word for that feeling when you are excited but also nervous (he thought that one up all by himself! He's a linguistic genius, I tell ya!).
He got up nice and early, which was tough because he didn't sleep well the night before. He had enough time to watch a few cartoons and then get ready. We, of course, took the time to get some first day pictures! Diana and I got ready too and the three of us walked down the street together to bring him to his first day. There were so many kids and a lot of nervous energy when we arrived! We said our goodbyes and final encouragements, and he went and found the line for his class.
Good luck buddy, you are going to do great!
